Can I share something vulnerable with you?
Two weeks of every month, I used to feel like I was failing in my startup leadership role.
Anxiety would arise.
Self-doubt would ensue.
Secretly, I'd question every decision, wondering what was wrong with me.
Why couldn't I "push through" like everyone else?
Then one morning, everything changed.
I noticed these struggles weren't random—they perfectly aligned with my luteal phase.
My body wasn't broken; it was trying to tell me something.
And this connects to something bigger—leadership.
Here's what most people get wrong about leadership: it's not about a title or position.
It's about how you show up each day.
How you listen to yourself.
How you create a life that truly lights you up.
It's about being courageous enough to say, "This isn't working," and bold enough to choose a different way.
When I started tracking my menstrual cycle, the patterns became crystal clear—lower HRV and stress resilience and changing sleep patterns during my luteal phase. Instead of fighting it, I started setting boundaries.
Fewer meetings. More deep work. Extra recovery time.
The result?
Less exhaustion. Better decisions. Stronger relationships. A surprising new way of living.
One where success flowed from aligning with my body's wisdom rather than forcing a masculine workday. And you know what? No one noticed this change to my schedule, except me.
I still hit my goals. I was still there for my team. Only, I felt way better.
Which leads us to the beginning of a new year. An arbitrary tradition, yet an opportunity to reset.
But most New Year's resolutions fail because they go against our natural cycles.
So as we enter 2025, I invite you to pause.
Instead of forcing yourself into rigid plans, what if you designed your year around your natural cycles?
What if your ambitions emerged from your body's deep knowing?
